Cultural Experience Event

The Kyoto International Community House is a key center for international exchange and multicultural activities in the Okazaki area.
As part of Japanese Culture Walk in Kyoto Okazaki 2025, the venue will offer English-guided cultural sessions in its traditional Japanese-style annex, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience the beauty of Japanese culture.
Each session lasts two and a half hours.
The program includes three popular experiences: a tea ceremony, kimono dressing, and ohayashi (festival music) from the Gion Festival, one of Kyoto’s three major festivals.
Two activities are offered per session, with five sessions scheduled during the event period.

Tea Ceremony Experience + Kimono Experience

Enjoy two of Japan’s most iconic cultural experiences—tea ceremony experience and kimono experience—in one session. Held in a traditional Japanese-style room at the Kyoto International Community House, the experience is guided in English, allowing you to participate with confidence and ease.

Tea Ceremony Experience + Experience Gion Festival Music

This special program offers two uniquely Japanese experiences: a traditional tea ceremony experience and ohayashi—the festive music of Kyoto’s renowned Gion Festival, one of Japan’s three major festivals. The ohayashi experience is something you can only enjoy in Kyoto. Both activities are conducted in English, making them accessible and enjoyable for everyone to participate in.
